TMEA Region 33 - Region Band Results

Over the last month, our band students have participated in the TMEA All-State Process. There are 5 Different Rounds for the All State Process for High School Band Students.

1) Freshmen Region Band Auditions

2) Round 1 TMEA Region Band Auditions

3) Round 2 TMEA Region Band Auditions

4) TMEA Area Auditions (Qualify for All-State)

5) TMEA All State Chair Placement Auditions (Determines your All-State Ensemble)

This past month, we've gone through the first 3 Rounds of Auditions. Our Freshmen Auditions in November for 9th Graders only, and our Round 1 and Round 2 Auditions for the Region 33 Bands in December.

This year was the highest number of students we've ever sent, and also the highest number of students we've ever had make a Region Band! We're so proud of our students for being brave enough and vulnerable enough to audition. The auditions are a rather intense experience. Two to three hours of being stuck in a room with 20-50 other students that you don't know. Each student going up to the front of the room one at a time to perform the same music for both judges and the room of high schoolers. It takes hours of preparation and mental strength in order to endure these auditions.

We are pleased to announce we had 7 students make a Region Band, and we have 2 that will be advancing to Round 4, Area Auditions. (These will be held in January 2025)
