Good Afternoon!

Here are this weeks announcements for the KHS Band. September 5th - September 8th

Band Celebrations

• The KHS Band got to perform in Allen last Friday and had a successful first run without the metronome.

Reminders

• Our second band fee payment of $50 is due on September 5th! Students need to make sure to communicate payment plans to directors.

• Please try to make sure to schedule doctor and dentist appointments on days where students do not have rehearsals. We will be learning the rest of our marching show over the next two weeks, and students who miss rehearsals WILL end up behind.

• Students have rehearsal EVERY DAY this week due to not having school on Monday.

Tuesday September 5th

• Blue Day (2, 4, 5, 6, 8)

• FULL BAND 4:00PM - 7:00PM

• Parent Pickup Location: In Front of PAC

• Parents MUST park in a parking spot for Student Safety. You will not be able to pull up next to the school and have your student hop in. Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe.

Wednesday September 6th

• White Day (1, 3, 5, 7, 8)

• FULL BAND 3:30pm - 5:30PM

• Parent Pickup Location: In Front of PAC

• Parents MUST park in a parking spot for Student Safety. You will not be able to pull up next to the school and have your student hop in. Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe.

Thursday September 7th

• Blue Day (2, 4, 5, 6, 8)

• Pantherettes Rehearsal! Have Flip Folders and be ready to go at 3:30PM

• FULL BAND from 3:30PM - 6:30PM

• Parent Pickup Location: In Front of PAC

• Parents MUST park in a parking spot for Student Safety. You will not be able to pull up next to the school and have your student hop in. Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe.

Friday September 8th

• White Day (1, 3, 5, 7, 8)

• PEARLAND AWAY GAME

• 8th Period 9th grade center students, ride the 8th period bus to KHS

• 2:40 pm Call time in band hall/Change into uniform/Fill water jugs

• 2:45 pm Call time in front of PAC/Transition to Stadium

• 3:00 pm Stadium Rehearsal

• 3:45 pm Rehearsal Ends, Load Trucks, Dinner

• 4:30 pm Inspection 4:45 pm Depart for PISD Stadium (pending transportation)

• 5:45 pm Arrive at PISD Stadium

• 7:00 pm Kickoff

• 10:30pm Approximate End of Game/Load/Depart

• 11:45 pm Approximate Return to KHS/Unload/Dismissal

Here are this weeks announcements for the KHS Band. August 28th - September 1st

Band Celebrations

• C.E. King HS had it's first football game against Crosby High School this past Friday. Your football team won it's first home game and the band had a fantastic first halftime performance!

Reminders

• Our second band fee payment of $50 is due on September 1st! Students need to make sure to communicate payment plans to directors.

• Students will be EXCUSED from all classes on Friday September 1st

• Students who show up missing equipment (Water Jug, Music, Instrument, Uniform) will NOT be allowed to travel to Allen.

• STUDENTS WILL ARRIVE LATE ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 1st (2:30AM Estimated Arrival)

• STUDENTS CANNOT RECIEVE FOOD FRIDAY MORNING. NO FOOD CAN BE DROPPED OFF DURING SCHOOL HOURS.

Monday August 28th

• White Day (1, 3, 5, 7, 8)

• Full Marching Band Rehearsal from 4:00PM - 7:00PM

• Parent Pickup Location: In Front of PAC

Tuesday August 29th

• Wind Sectionals (Brass and Woodwinds Only) 3:30PM - 5:30PM

• Parent Pickup Location: In Front of PAC

Wednesday August 30th

• ALLEN AWAY GAME

• 7:05 am | Report to the Band Hall (9th GC students: get dropped off at KHS OR take 1st-period bus!)

• 7:30 am | Transition to Stadium

• 8:00 am | Stadium Rehearsal

• 9:00 am | Load Trucks/Trucks depart/Transition back to Band Hall

• 9:45 am | Brunch/lunch Break - sack lunch provided, but bring your own food if you would like.

FOOD CANNOT BE DROPPED OFF FOR STUDENTS DURING SCHOOL HOURS!

• 10:15 am | Inspection

• 10:30 am | Load busses

• 10:45 am | Depart CE King HS (bring snacks for the bus!)

• 2:30 pm | Arrive at Cicis Pizza (1440 North Hwy 77, Waxahachie, YX 75165) - DINNER IS PROVIDED!

• 4:00 pm | Depart Cicis for stadium

• 5:30 pm | Arrive at Stadium/Unload

• 7:00 pm | Kickoff

• 10:00 pm | Apx. game end/load trucks

• 10:30 pm | Depart Allen HS

• 2:30 am | Approximate Return to KHS/unload trucks/put away equipment

• 3:00 am | Approximate dismissal time

• CROSBY HOME GAME

• 2:40 pm Call time in band hall/Change into uniform/Fill water jugs

• 2:45 pm Call time in front of PAC/Transition to Stadium

• 6:00 pm Depart for Stadium
